From Walls to Matter

The title suggests a transition from the wall to matter: from the public surface to the intimate space of artistic inquiry, from temporary intervention to a more enduring presence. Yet the matter referred to in the title is not merely that of the exhibited works; it is something more fragile and complex, composed of ideas, encounters, processes, and shared time.

Paintings, photographs, works on paper, and installations form a diverse body of work that reflects the variety of artistic practices defining the first decade of interventions in the village of Civita.
